About the event
M.E.N. Incorporated is a not for profit organization designed to Mentor, Educate, and Nurture young men in and around the Houston area and ultimately the World. We were incorporated on January 20, 2011, received our DBA on February 11, 2011 and acknowledged by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization by June 6, 2011. Our mission is to Mentor, Educate and Nurture young men regardless of ethnicity or sexual orientation within available resources allowed. The goal and ultimate vision of our organization is to provide young men with awareness and training needed to produce leaders that will contribute positively and successfully to society.
Each year we host a Scholarship Gala to celebrate the birth of the organization, honor community heroes making a difference in the lives of youth, raise funds for the organization and most importantly give scholarships to deserving young men in Houston and surrounding areas. Our fundraising goal for this year is $20,000, and we need your help to do it!
The Scholarship Gala is a semi-formal event hosted at the historic Buffalo Soldiers National Museum located in Mid-town Houston at 3816 Caroline Street. This year theme is “The Roaring Twenties,” so practice your lindy hop and jitterbug and join us for our awards ceremony, dinner, live entertainment, dancing and silent auction bidding on June 23, 2018 at 7pm.
Why should you sponsor?
Your sponsorship and attendance will demonstrate to these young men that they have a “team” supporting them. I ask that you become part of that team.
