Dear Potential Sponsors,
The Tennessee Association of School Social Workers will host the 42nd annual fall conference September 25-27, 2019. We are highlighting and focusing on evidenced-based interventions/practices in the school social work profession. We are excited to host School Social Workers, social service personnel and education professionals from across the state.
The Tennessee Association of School Social Workers (TASSW) is a professional organization that has been in existence since 1978. We advocate for Tennessee School Social Workers and for the services we provide to our students, their families, and communities.
Each year, TASSW invites agencies to become conference sponsors at various levels of sponsorship. The specifics for each level are listed on the next page.
By becoming a conference sponsor, you will have the opportunity to:
Gain exposure: School Social Workers from across Tennessee will be attending
Promote your organization: Opportunity to explain mission and vision to future clients, professionals, other non-profit referral sources, neighborhood advocates, and more
Network: Explore partnership opportunities with other exhibitors and conference attendees
Meet prospective clientele: Meet active local consumers looking for the services you offer
The TASSW Conference will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, 7955 Ikea Way, Cordova, TN 38016. Why should you sponsor?
As mental health professionals working with at risk youth in our schools it is vital that we are up to date with all the latest interventions and emerging trends in social emotional/mental health. This conference will be able to provide the best professional development to our school social workers providing them with the tools they need to be effective agents of change for the children and familes they serve.
My name is Nancy Nieves and I am the president-elect for the Tennessee Association of School Social Workers. As president-elect I am in charge of planning our annual conference. This year the conference will be held in Memphis, TN with a focus on evidenced based interventions. I have been a school soical worker for more than 15 years working with youth and families at all levels. I currently work at Shelby County Schools as their first and only bilingual School Social Worker providing individual and group counseling to children and families. I also work part time at CASALUZ a domestic violence advocacy center for Latinos as their counselor. Planning and paying for a state conference is challenging for a small association such as ours and we will forever be thankful for any assistance we might get. Thank you very much in advance.
