About the event

The Tournament of Champions is a privately-funded celebration of sportsmanship, gaming, and culture that began as a small college Video Gaming tournament.  Users interact with the Tournament via social media, playing matches and participating in various competitions with other contestants.  This year, Contestants have written and performed original songs, played Video Game tournaments, created their own comics, and even carved their art into a watermelon!  We want to expand our ability to reward these incredible contestants for their dedication and excitement.  This year's tournament has hosted events in Boston, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and NYC!

Why should you sponsor?

The Tournament of Champions is a grassroots, social media driven celebration of positivity and creativity.  Every participant visits the page multiple times per day, as well as a high rate of attendance at weekly announcements and competition streams.  We are seeking ground-level sponsors to supplement existings funds donated by tournament organizers.  This is a yearly event that spans over 2 months, and generates hundreds of posts and thousands of pageviews.  Right now, our greatest interest is building mutually beneficial relationships with sponsors that have the potential to grow alongside the tournament.  Private donors have already generated over $500 worth of prize support. 

Matthew Liguori

My name is Matthew Liguori.  I work as an Adminstrative Assistant and spend my free time working with the Fantasy Flight Games Event Demo Team. I first created the Tournament of Champions as a a chance to reward my friends for undertaking fun challenges, but in the two years since its foundation it has more than tripled in size and expanded to a wide audience all along the east coast.  I am hoping to build relationships and continue to expand our audience in the years to come!
