About the event

A dancing weekend centered around Cuban music. With 5 instructors teaching workshops for attendees, 2 social dancing nights, performances, and a farewell lunch, the 3rd annual Louisville Mega Rueda brings dancers from across the country for a fun filled weekend. Our main event, the Mega Rueda, takes place on the Belvedere with 100+ participants in coordinated tshirts all performing together. The event centers itself on exchanging the joy of Casino and Rueda dance.

Dancing is an amazing opportunity for individuals to network and share ideas. Last year with over 150 participants from across the nation, we made dance and the arts visible in the Lousiville community. Casino and Rueda directly uplift Cuban and Latino culture. Our dance community is worldwide and connects people and ideas while uplifting local economies.

Ville Casineras

The Ville Casineras is a 5013c non-profit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky. We are instructors and dancers of Cuban popular dance. Over the past several years, we have performed at Salsa congresses in Georgia, Ohio, Tennessee,  and California. We also  perform locally often for schools and libraries. Our organization has also traveled to places such as Cancun, San Diego, and New Orleans for both continuing our education and to represent our dancing community here in Louisville, thus being Nationally and Internationally recognized. In addition to our performance history, we are also certified instructors; teaching classes for the Casino dance community. It is our hope to continue to be active community members by spreading our love of dance through our classes, performances, and events for people of all ages.
