About the event
The Clean Up the Oceans Concert aims to become an annual festival.
The 2017 event will host 1,000 people on a yet to be determinded date from 10 AM to 8 PM at a soon to be announced venue in Vancouver.
The Concert will feature local talent, international speakers, global food, science activities, art displays, kid's corner, free secure bicycle parking and a beer garden.
The displays and activities at the event that draw attention to, and raise awareness of, the seriousness of micro plastic pollution in the ocean are are interactive and fun. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with your company directly through your vendor or information booth.
The concert will provide ideas, encouragement and practical solutions to address the problem of marine plastic pollution locally and worldwide. Concert participants will find out ways to stop plastic micro fibres and micro beads from damaging the marine environment.
This concert enables UpGyres to tangibly pursue our mission of stopping plastic pollution before it reaches waterways and upcycling plastic waste into valuable products.
UpGyres’ Clean Up the Oceans Concert is not possible without the generosity of all our supporters and sponsors.
All of the profits from the Clean Up the Oceans Concert 2017 will be invested in spurring behavioral change through art; culture; community engagement; education; leveraging a match funding grant and developing new equipment & technology for use in implementing eco-responsible solutions to preserve oceans around the world.
